Family
Child Care Certificate
Family child care
providers are individuals who provide care for children in their own
home. They can care for infants, preschoolers, or provide before and
after school care for school age children.. Many providers offer care
for children of different ages. The home can be licensed to provide
for six to fourteen children. The best family child care environments
provide for the custodial needs of the children and offer activities
that promote physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.
