• When you open an audio file, your computer's audio player should allow you to listen to the beginning of the file while it downloads the rest of the file.
  If your audio player makes you wait until the entire file is downloaded, you may have to wait 5 or 10 minutes or more, depending on your internet connection.
  I have found that Windows Media Player allows me to listen to the beginning of the file while the rest of the file downloads.

• if you can't play the audio files for some reason, text files are available, simply scroll to the right

• You should take notes while you listen to the audio files.

  • (the text files are not so that you don't have to take notes, the text files are for students who have computer issues or disabilities)

  • Taking notes will focus your attention, which makes the use of your time more efficient.

  • The notes should also prove useful later in the term, when you have questions about different aspects of the course
