Login Instructions for Students
Username: Your new User Identification Number, which is a unique number beginning with a W and containing 8 digits.

Password: the first two letters of your first name, followed by the first two letters of your last name (all lowercase), followed by the last four digits of your new User Identification Number.

Note that the username and password formats have changed from previous semesters for LPC students. Using the last four digits of your old Student ID number will not work.

For example, Maria Valdez with a User Identification Number of W12345678 would log in as:

Username: W12345678
Password: mava5678 (all lowercase letters + last four digits)

Your instructor can not add or delete students from the computer's roster.
Your instructor also does not have passwords (if you forget them).

Because computers and internet connections can always have unexpected problems, you will get unlimited attempts for each quiz - and the highest score counts.  If you can not access or run the quizzes from home,  try the on-campus computer lab in Building 800.  You may also come to the professor's office hours for help if you do not understand how to login to Blackboard. 

If you have computer problems, and if you have waited until the day before a quiz is due (or the day that a quiz is due), you will not have any time to ask the professor for help and you will be stuck with a zero score for that quiz.  Always leave yourself plenty of time to be able to come to the professor's office hours for help BEFORE the quiz is due!

I also recommend that you run these Vocabulary quizzes from a computer with a high-speed broadband connection....if you have a dial-up connection at home, you may have much more success running these quizzes at school (the school provides high-speed, non-dial-up internet access for students who purchase the Computer Access Card)
