The walk includes a steep sloping terrain which is only 1.10 miles one-way. The breath taking scenery at the top gives a view of the park, Alameda Creek watershed and Calaveras Reservoir. Oak woodland and grassland communities; fossiliferous sandstone outcrops are the interests along the trail.
