The psychology program at Las Positas College is designed to meet a variety of needs, including fulfilling general education requirements, preparation for transfer to four year institutions, preparation for more advanced study in psychology and related fields, and personal growth.

The psychology program at Las Positas College provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of psychology. Students have the opportunity to explore all of the major areas of psychology, including general psychology, biological, social, developmental, sleep and dreams, and abnormal behavior, and can earn an A.A. degree in Psychology.

The department of psychology also sponsors the Las Positas Psychology Club and the Psi Beta National Honor Society in Psychology. These organizations offer students the opportunity to meet others with common interests, learn more about psychology, and get involved in psychology events on campus.

We are committed to providing a challenging and engaging introduction to the fascinating field of psychology, and take an active interest in our students' academic development.
