Schmedley is a Web-based desktop start page, which uses widgets to mimic the look and feel of a traditional desktop. Schmedley features integration with Meebo, and plans to offer integrated productivity services in future releases.

Purefect

Purefect  is an open source web desktop that provides web based AJAX-IDE, Instant Messaging and APIS.  Just like the other webtops, it offers a variety of  utilities ranging from  file management to communication tools. It requires a quick sign up to access the service.

Desktoptwo is a free Webtop developed by Sapotek (it's also been called a WebOS although Sapotek states on its website that the term is premature and presumptuous) that mimics the look, feel and functionality of the desktop environment of an operating system.

AjaxWindows is a virtual operating system that lets you store, edit and share your files using only a browser.

Startforce

StartForce is one of the many web desktop applications available on the internet. StartForce claims to be the fastest web desktop application currently available. 1GB of storage space is included. It also includes a wide range of applications such as an instant messaging client. It is also designed with file sharing in mind and should make sharing files with other people as easy as possible.

oDesktop

oDesktop is an online desktop with web-based applications that includes: oDrive, oPhoto, oMusic, oNetwork, oEmail, oNews and oGames.
It is built using Ajax and PHP, oDesktop mimics Windows-like applications behavior to run multiple web applications at a time in a web browser.

nivio.com is a web based application offering free web services that enables you instant messaging, email, chat and much more with AOL, MSN, Yahoo and ICQ. Nivio provides automatic file and application compatibility across devices and operating systems.

Atoolo is a personal communication platform, an individual home in the net, and a useful aid for everyday work on the PC. Mygoya

myGoya is basically a portable web based operating system you can use anywhere. There many different tools available that you’d typically find come with your OS, plus a mix of other different tools you’d generally download to your computer. Some of these include an email aggregator, the ability to chat, a storage system for your files, sharing capabilities for your media, a media player that can go through play lists including photos, music, and videos, bookmarks, a notepad, a calendar, and more.

FanBox is one of several companies that are venturing into the online web-based desktop OS market. The interface of FanBox looks like your average desktop with icons, a taskbar and a desktop background. With FanBox, you can chat with all of your buddies from Yahoo, AIM, MSN, and Gtalk all at the same time.

It acts as a platform for web applications written using the eyeOS Toolkit. It includes a Desktop environment with 67 applications and system utilities. It is accessible by portable devices via its mobile front end.

OOdesk

is a virtual desktop application offering free email, storage space, file sharing etc. OOdisk Virtual Mesh permits to create your own network of always-connected device, your "Virtual Mesh" you will be able to access, sync and share the files stored on it from any other computer through your favorite browser.
File content can be viewed, downloaded or played. Files can be accessed even from your mobile device.

Pytagor

Pytagor is a fully-loaded online management program that lets you keep all of your work in one Folder based in your browser. With Pytagor you have an Internet Desktop with community features that allow you to connect your desktop to your friends who are using Pytagor.
