Department of Political Science Scholarships

THE POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF LAS POSITAS COLLEGE offers scholarships to academically outstanding students. Currently, we offer two types of scholarships:

  • DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Offered in conjunction with the ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF LAS POSITAS COLLEGE, POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIPS are awarded to academically outstanding students. Not all recipients are Political Science majors; rather, LPC students who have demonstrated:

  • SUPERIOR SCHOLARSHIP IN THE DISCIPLINE OF POLITICAL SCIENCE;
  • ACADEMIC POTENTIAL TO EXCEL IN ADVANCED COURSE-WORK IN POLITICAL SCIENCE;
  • ENTHUSIASM AND INTEREST IN THE STUDY OF POLITICAL SCIENCE.
  • THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WORLD AFFIARS COUNCIL (WAC) SCHOLARSHIPS. WAC scholarships are awarded by the WAC.

LPC POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT offers scholarships through THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL (WAC) -- www.itsyourworld.com -- located in San Francisco. LPC students compete against Northern California College and University students for scholarships to attend the Council’s Annual Conference at Asilomar.
