The LPC Chemistry Department website lists the tutoring schedule for Chemistry. Check it out!

There are literally hundreds of sites on the world wide web that have helpful information for first-year chemistry students. Here are some to get you started:

General Chemistry Online: tutorials, practice exams and problems, interactive stuff, and more!

CSUDH Interactive Quiz Page. Tests you on many basic chemistry concepts. Good practice!

Some Nomenclature quiz websites:

* A 10-question, multiple-choice nomenclature quiz.

* Several multiple-choice quizzes. (This site has 5 different quiz sets (A-E). When you finish the first quiz, click "MOVE ON TO NEXT QUIZ SET IN THIS TOPIC" near the bottom of the page to go to a new set of questions. Some questions cover more than we did in class, so you may not be able to answer them all.)

* The CSUDH site (listed above) has a good interactive set of nomenclature quizzes. The third one on the list refers to "Stock Notation", which I think means ionic compounds containing non-fixed charge metal ions. You may get some questions you can't answer from what we covered in class, though.

Gas Law Online Demo: This nicely animated, interactive web applet simulates the motion of gas molecules in a container. You can change the pressure, temperature, volume and number of moles of gas, and see the effect on each other.
