The course grade will be based on four exams (see below for requirement to earn an "A" grade). The exams will cover both text and lecture material. All exams may include multiple-choice, fill-in items, short answer questions and/or essay questions. Check the course schedule link for the tentative exam dates. Note: exam dates may vary from those indicated in the schedule. Update information on exam dates will be given in class.
The highest course grade possible by way of the exams is a "B." To obtain an "A" in the course, a project or library research paper must be completed. More information on projects and papers is available by checking the Paper/projects Guidelines link.
Class attendance is required. There will be no make-up exams except with advance approval by the instructor.
